ForexGPT MCP Server Setup Guide

Connect ForexGPT’s trading analysis tools directly to ChatGPT or Claude using the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

What You Can Do

Instead of pulling outdated data from websites, the ForexGPT MCP AI assistant can request real-time market analysis, pull chart data and economic events, manage your watchlist, and scan for trading opportunities—all through natural conversation within ChatGPT or Claude (and via API).

Prerequisites

Set up ChatGPT.com Connector in 3 minutes

Here is the video tutorial to set up the ForexGPT MCP server as a Connector on ChatGPT.com:

  1. Go to Settings → Connectors and enable Developer Mode
  2. Click Add Custom Connector
  3. Enter these settings:
    • Name: ForexGPT MCP
    • Server URL: https://mcp.forex-gpt.ai/mcp
    • Authentication: Select OAuth (leave Client ID and Secret blank)
  4. Save and enable the connector, upon saving you may be prompted to login with you your ForexGPT account.
  5. When you first use a premium tool, you’ll be redirected to log in to ForexGPT

Test it without token consumption: “Get token balance”

Test it with token consumption: “Use ForexGPT to analyze EUR/USD on the daily timeframe.”

Set up Claude Connector with ForexGPT MCP Server magic link in 3 minutes

Here is the video tutorial to set up the ForexGPT MCP server as a Connector on Claude.ai (note: this requires a magic link created from the ForexGPT Beta dashboard, see below):

  1. Log in to live4.forex-gpt.ai/dashboard
  2. Scroll to Developer API Access and generate a Magic MCP Link
  3. Copy your unique link (format: https://mcp.forex-gpt.ai/u/{your-unique-id}/mcp)
  4. In Claude, go to Settings → MCP Servers → Add Server
  5. Paste your magic link as the server URL
  6. Name it “ForexGPT” and save

Test it: “Scan the market on the daily timeframe and show me the top 5 opportunities.”

⚠️ Security: Treat your magic link like a password. It grants access to your ForexGPT account. You can revoke links from your dashboard anytime. Links expire after 90 days.
