How do the ForexGPT trading signals work?

When a chart is loaded within our application, either manually by clicking the green “open new chart” button, or when you are redirected from the Chart URL from ChatGPT, within less than a minute AI-generated technical analysis is performed on the chart parameters, before assessing for a potential trading signal.

• These include analyzing the Open, High, Low, and Close price of the last candle, and values for the simple moving averages, including the 7, 14, 50, 100 period, and Bollinger Upper, Middle, and Lower bands, and the Donchian Upper, Middle and Lower bands.

• Then, the ForexGPT Sentiment Score is assessed, and depending on how these are all interacting, a neutral signal means the model is suggesting to do nothing, whereas a bullish or bearish signal will accompany stop-loss and take-profit targets, as an example.
• Below is an example of a Weekly chart on BTC/USD that produces a long trade signal (note, this is not a trade recommendation, just an example of how the AI-generated Trading Signals and Analysis can perform for premium subscribers.

Free daily tokens: Every generation consumes tokens, roughly 2700 per technical analysis request by ForexGPT (which includes AI-generated trading signals too), and premium subscribers get a daily quota of 5400 free tokens every 24hrs (UTC midnight reset).

Note: All token usage (free tokens and premium tokens) is triggered only when you click to open a chart, or click on a chart URL link, and every time you just refresh the chart page, including when switching between tabs in your browser, including on mobile.

For instance, let’s say you switch between browser tabs, each time you return to the ForexGPT tab in your browser, if you are on a chart page, the automatic or manual page/url refresh will trigger the AI-generated analysis which will consume your token balance and cost us OpenAI API tokens.

When your token balance is zero or too low for a new analysis, you will get a message that not enough tokens are available, and the opportunity to top up your token balance. Every time ForexGPT runs its analysis, if the Sentiment Score is too close to Neutral (0), ForexGPT will generate a Neutral Trading Signal, which means it niether suggests buying nor selling. This means it can be helpful to scan through different assets and timeframes, looking for securities that will generate a buy or sell signal, before diving deeper into the AI-generated analysis. We will be launching a screener and button to use exclusively for consuming premium tokens, so that it will not cost you any tokens to scroll through assets and various chart timeframes, so you can choose which assets to run the AI-generated analysis on (as of May 2024, this feature is not yet added but you can still consume premium tokens on the asset of your choosing). Note: a Very Bullish or Very Bearish Sentiment Score does not always mean that ForexGPT will generate a signal as it also takes into consideration other chart parameters, including the values of moving averages, and other indicators that we utilize.
